We stayed at a family friend's condo that was actually the penthouse of an apartment building and was situated by the river.
The friends usually live in Seattle, so the condo was empty. We discovered these candles that had been left on the balcony.
It rained a few times during the week, including one evening where the downpour turned the streets into rivers and soaked all our shoes. Of course, that was also the night that we took a cruise to see the skyline and the observation deck is outdoors.
Mom's video of the skyline, taken from the boat. This was a couple days after the downpour, taken on a bridge next to the condo. We were prepared with umbrellas, but didn't count on the wind.
Some public art, which reminds me of the candles on the balcony. I feel like everything in Shanghai will look like this someday.
