Delicious Israel

During our week in Israel, we visited many, many places. Sightseeing required a lot of walking, which was fortunate since we ate so much.

Part two: The Food!
As mentioned previously, we stopped in Madrid on the way to Israel. When we got tired of walking around aimlessly, we sat at a cafe and had Tarta de Santiago, an almond tart. We also had a little bottle of wine from the flight, but it was disgusting.

Gelatto in Jaffa. It was very refreshing, especially because the gellato shop had restrooms.

In Jerusalem, we started our day with a picnic prepared by Dana. Dana actually made most of the meals that we had during the week. They were all delicious, but this is the only one we photographed.

Huge meal with the family. It was so good, I only regret that I couldn't eat more.

Desserts at Max Brenner, before: (yes, those are flasks of melted chocolate)

And after: (yes, we're turning the flasks upside down because we couldn't fit spoons into the narrow openings)

Falafal in Haifa. It was from a shop so tiny and famous that we had to eat while standing in the street.

Next: Daniel and Katie's wedding!
